SMS Consent and Opt-In
This page documents the complete web-based consent flow for the Taken Today Medication Reminders SMS program using toll-free number (877) 583-6081.
Program disclosure
Messages are informational and are sent only to registered users who affirmatively request them. Taken Today does not send advertising, purchased-list, scraped-list, or third-party marketing messages.
How a user opts in
- The user creates or signs in to a private Taken Today account.
- In Settings, the user saves the mobile number where reminders should be sent.
- The user opens Text Reminders and chooses Yes, set up Text Reminders.
- The user confirms the displayed mobile number.
- The user actively selects the separate, unchecked SMS-consent checkbox shown below.
- The user reviews the settings and presses Save My Text Reminders. Taken Today records the account, mobile number, consent text/version, date and time, IP address, and browser information.
Text reminders remain off unless the affirmative consent checkbox is selected and the settings are saved. A user may turn text reminders off in Settings at any time or reply STOP.

The authenticated Settings page displays the following disclosure. The checkbox is shown unchecked to demonstrate the required affirmative action.

Follow-up reminder
Standard reminder messages avoid medication names to reduce the amount of sensitive information visible on a phone lock screen.
Opting out and getting help
- Reply STOP to cancel text messages.
- Reply HELP for program and support information.
- Turn off Text Reminders from Taken Today Settings.
- Turning off texts does not close the Taken Today account or prevent use of medication-tracking features.
